Upgrade!

We started Rving in a 19 foot Pleasureway and loved exploring Washington and Oregon. It was the perfect second vehicle when living on our boat. We could park it in the parking lot of the marina.
I have taken to fondly calling my husband Retired Man Jim. He now calls himself an Analyst and there is not a subject outside of his analysis realm so when it came time to consider what our next RV would be he kicked into gear. If you are reading RV blogs cause you are thinking about buying an RV, here are some things we took into consideration when making our want-to-have and must-have features list. We knew we wanted to be comfortable for long periods of travel but we did not want to go larger than needed to make it all work. I like rear beds that stay made up. We wanted a booth to sit out while eating and for other activities. A separate shower was on the list along with a better freezer unit so I could prepare food, freez, thaw and eat. I prefer not to have the sleep area above the cab so the overhang is not blocking the sky but you do give up all that space. The end result is a 27 foot Thor Four Winds Siesta. Two slides give us more interior room in the "galley" area and the rear slide provides a walk around bed and larger bedroom. So, it all comes down to individual choices and how you want to use an RV! RV shows are fun to visit a large number of units and narrow down your preferences!
